I know it's been awhile since I've posted! It's been crazy around the studio! I wanted to share this SWEET newborn session with you! Baby Keon just snoozed away while we wrapped, tugged, and tucked him into basket after basket! He loved his first official photo shoot! Of course we took a few breaks, working that hard makes a little man hungry!
So, I started seeing these slideshows awhile back and thought, " Looks neat, but I don't have time".So, as time has gone by, I kept seeing them and then the other day I was like, " I kind of do like these, maybe I should check them out?"Well, I did check them out and now I am officially HOOKED!I love them, can't get enough of them, I want to go back and do slideshows of ALL my portrait sessions!!Ok, well, I can't do that, I'd be here forever!!But you will start seeing more of these in the future!!
And just because I was having SOOO much fun, I did one of my own boys. Now this was tricky, because most of my kid's portraits are on film.So I took a few old ones that I had scanned to disc and then some from the last couple of years and made a slideshow of "my 3 sons" (could've been a TV show? hehehe). And well, I sort of thought I'd cry at the end, they grow up so fast! That sounds cliché, but it's true.
All you BOY moms out there will understand! We fuss about the rocks in their pockets, army men under the couch cushions (actually all over the house including the freezer), and stinky socks. But I have to say, I do miss all the little boy adventures!( not the stinky socks, I still have those )...
Here's a peek at Bethany's Senior Session the other day! We had a great time driving around their property on their golf cart! They had so many neat places to shoot, and the weather was gorgeous!
I’m working on a new website that I will be using for viewing and ordering portraits online.I will also be publishing some fine art prints on the website as well. There are so many things that inspire me! When I’m not taking portraits for my clients I am photographing everything else that catches my attention!

I am going to try to mix it up on my blog by putting in all kinds of different things that I think my be helpful or fun. So I thought I'd start off by giving all the moms (and dads, or whoever might be behind the camera :) out there some helpful tips on taking better pictures of your kids.
1. Watch your backgrounds. Simple is always better! Move your kids around to find the best location. Also, keep an eye on the objects in the background. A tree might be really pretty, but not if it looks like it's coming out of someone's head. So move the kids around, check your background and then snap away! :)
2. Fill your frame. Don't be afraid to get in close! Moving in will remove distracting backgrounds or clutter. Getting in close will also make your child's face the focal point of the photograph.
3. Get on their level. Getting pictures with your kids looking up at you can be interesting, but for something different try getting on their level. You can get on your knees or even down on your belly. It will give you a fresh perspective and also give you more realistic proportions.
We had a great time at the park during our baby session the other day! Is there anything better than swingin' on the swingset? He sure didn't think so, and I think I"d have to agree!
Hi! I'm Tabitha, thanks for dropping in!
I'm a photographer who lives life out loud! I love coffee (a little too much), good friends, good movies, and photography! I'm married to my best friend, and have 3 boys who always keep me movin'! My love for my family is what led me to a career in photography. When my boys were little, I wanted to remember all those sweet little things about them! I know I'm a little partial, but they were the cutest little boys in the world! I was always taking pictures of them--whenever I could hold them down long enough! From there, I started taking pictures of everyone! So finally, I decided to go to school and make it official. That was many years ago and I have never looked back! I have the best job in the world!
I absolutely love creating images for my clients. I feel like I get to be a part of that special moment, creating memories for their family.
My photography style could probably best be described as clean and simple . My goal is to capture the person or families personality while keeping the image light and uncluttered.
